A seven-member delegation led by NADA Vice-President Karan Chaudhary met Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba to discuss the various issues faced by the automobile sector due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. The delegation urged the government to take special initiatives to revive the automobile sector due to the ban imposed by the government.During the meeting, Rajan Babu Shrestha, Member of the NADA Central Working Committee, Chairman of the Public Transport Committee and Chairman of the Road Safety and Environment Committee, said that public vehicles traders were in dire straits due to the long shutdown.
During the discussions, he lauded the Ministry of Forests and Environment for implementing Euro6/BS6 in jeeps, cars, vans and motorcycles, but also urged the Prime Minister to provide adequate time to the entrepreneurs for its implementation.NADA’s vice-chairman Akash Golchha, secretary Anup Baral, co-treasurer Vikram Singhania, central working committee member Deepak Agrawal and association secretary Surendra Pradhan were also present at the discussion.
